making my first purse.
This is technically my second purse made from this pattern. I gave first one away and didn't get any pictures. Im including a Pic of the quilting magazine that has the pattern. Im going to sew the ends of the zipper shut.
Coverall's made from a thrifted Blanket.
I made these bigger than my size to accommodate clothes underneath. Also a few things I would change- i would decorate after I make them. Honestly it took so much time to do that and in the end I had to alter them. It was difficult with all the embroidery and applique. 2- I absolutely love the elastic and buttons on the sides and around the base on the legs. However I would make the elastic shorter ( if I wear it over bulky clothes this may not be necessary.)

Made a purse from stuff animal
I saw this on you tube. Yep I did 😆. I met a young lady months ago that had a purse that was a stuff dog. I actually looked at it closely and thought I would have to do it from scratch. Nope get a stuff animal! Not hard my best advice do not try for perfection first-time.
I used a stuffy I found on market place. I changed the front and took out the tail and replaced it. I also took out the mane and left it out. I did mess up a little on inside but ehh ... it's a trial run. I wanted the straps to match the belly and Fleece was 100% the way to go.
Overall I love it.

Second attempt at Cowboy hat
Interfacing is to heavy, I also made a mistake in the rim. "To big" I did line it and just did a run with it kind of thing. In the end it's to small to wear 😂

Fabric Cowboy hats
I'm toying with making cowboy hats. You wouldn't think it's that involved but I'm drafting a pattern and running through test runs.
So far I've broken 3 needles and had to repair the sewing machine.
I think some of that is my fault but... That is learning
This run was with batting. I have some heavy stabilizer I think will be a lot better.

Edmonson County Fair 2025
Here is how I did in the Edmonson county fair. I entered 5 quilts total and a Christmas stocking.
2 third place, 1 second place, and 1 first!!
So excited!
In the first place quilt I incorporated scrap pieces given to me by a lovely lady outside of Litchfield. Her name is Lorraine. I've texted her all the pictures and we both are beyond happy. I'm thrilled to share this with her.

Made some more Bible covers.
I never expected it to be so difficult to find Bibles at yard sales. However when I do I always try and snag them. I store them and make covers for people's ( usually customed to them personally) in hopes of aiding them on their journey.
These I did a little different I did a binding around the edges instead of flipping inside out. Also because they are soft covers no handles. I did not want the Bible to bow.
Next is just a star ears hardback book with a similar themed book cover 😁.

Mother's Day Bible cover
This is reverse engineering from a book cover I got in an auction. I've watched several tutorials online but you can not beat having an example right in front of you.
My favorite part the applique of the state of Texas with Virgin Mary fabric.
With the exception of the Virgin Mary fabric the rest is Vintage fabric and I mean old! Late 70's early 80's. I love this fabric!

Just for fun
I was sick with the flu and I wanted to do something. 😂 I did this whole throw on the serger. It's a vintage center panel and just plain borders of various fabrics. There were three items I wanted to focus on doing it. 1) use snowman fabric as much as possible 2) use as many scraps as possible 3) needed to fit on a throw fleece blanket. As a bonus I put a few rinestones in the middle to give some bling.
I did straight line quilting on a domestic sewing machine.
