Won 2nd place in Hart Co Fair Kentucky 2025

I'm so excited and proud of this!

Made some more Bible covers.

I never expected it to be so difficult to find Bibles at yard sales. However when I do I always try and snag them. I store them and make covers for people's ( usually customed to them personally) in hopes of aiding them on their journey.
These I did a little different I did a binding around the edges instead of flipping inside out. Also because they are soft covers no handles. I did not want the Bible to bow.
Next is just a star ears hardback book with a similar themed book cover 😁.

Bible cover

Made this Bible cover as a birthday gift for a co-worker.

Mother's Day Bible cover

This is reverse engineering from a book cover I got in an auction. I've watched several tutorials online but you can not beat having an example right in front of you.
My favorite part the applique of the state of Texas with Virgin Mary fabric.
With the exception of the Virgin Mary fabric the rest is Vintage fabric and I mean old! Late 70's early 80's. I love this fabric!

Godzilla Quilt

We are huge and I mean Huge Godzilla fans. I found a Paper piecing Godzilla fan pattern but I have not wrapped my head around how to do it yet.
One day my husband said a co worker granddaughter was a Godzilla fan too. At the age of five. I was excited let's make her a throw!!!!
I grabbed some roofing paper and freehanded a 36x36 silhouette of Godzilla. A lovely lady and dear friend and I spent some quality time discussing the colors for Godzilla And away I went.
I really like it!!

a wall hanging

This is a wall hanging it is 24x31. The bldg is done in ribbon and I reversed tie dyed the shirt.
It's nice but my biggest draw back on it is it is not washable. Would have to spot clean.
This was my fourth attempt, first was with yard and it was going great until the taco bell emblem. Than it fell apart . Next embroidery but it literally got lostin the print. Than I tried very thin cuts of fleece - nope on that too.
Ribbon worked and I had vintage ribbon at the house. I thought I had enough but nope again and the new ribbon's quality was less than desirable.
I'm going to make myself one but I believe I need to make some changes.

A snazzy quilted throw for someone special 😁

It's a lovely throw. The panel I used was from the 1990's or early 2000. Used big strips not to lose the fish in the print. Nice super fluffy backing. I tried something new and used fleece for binding. It was a chore! I love it!

Wild Quilt / I dyed all the material in it last summer

I feel like this is an explosion of colors. Pictures are from my friend, who I gifted the quilt to. It's cat approved 😀
I had a horrible time quilting this on the long arm. I learned a lot from this quilt.
Still ..... I ❤️it so unique

Just for fun

I was sick with the flu and I wanted to do something. 😂 I did this whole throw on the serger. It's a vintage center panel and just plain borders of various fabrics. There were three items I wanted to focus on doing it. 1) use snowman fabric as much as possible 2) use as many scraps as possible 3) needed to fit on a throw fleece blanket. As a bonus I put a few rinestones in the middle to give some bling.
I did straight line quilting on a domestic sewing machine.
